New Year, New You

Many of us start a New Year, especially this one (Peace out 2020), with goals, ambitions, dreams, and most of all HOPE that this year will be better than the last – different than the last. So, I have come up with a few tips to get there!

1) Stop doing the same things.

We cannot expect to have different results if we keep showing up the same way every day. I encourage you to look at your day to day. When you wake up in the morning, do you reach for your phone to scroll FB, IG, and all the outlets? Instead of plugging into everyone else’s life – plug into your OWN LIFE.

2) Be brave.

Doing something new and different often takes courage. Being different than what people expect you to be can feel daunting. But, how do you want to be? This is your life, claim it and do the things that inspire you.

3) Start a daily practice.

Disclaimer: I know you most likely did an eye roll at number three. BUT, I can attest that it really does help.

Last year I made a commitment to myself to have a daily practice. Mine was getting up at 5 am, gratitude journaling, meditating, and then working out on certain days. It was hard in the beginning, but after the first month, I was on a schedule and now, if I don’t get my time, I feel off. That time in the morning is MY time – no one else’s. I can get quiet, get clarity, and know exactly what I want to do with my day. It helps, I promise. Just try it out!
