Change. It’s a scary thing. And in case you haven’t noticed, or have been waiting for the world to go back to the way it was – “normal” or not – change is upon us. It has already passed our doorstep, barged right in and started tearing down the walls. All the walls around the world you might say.
So, what happens when everything we have ever know starts moving/crumbling? Our school systems are faced with incredibly difficult decisions, parents are faced with the decision to keep their children home and safe – or go to work and provide for their families. No parent wants to make that decision – feed my family or taking the chance of sending my kiddo to school. What do we possibly do in a seemingly impossible situation?
The answer is simple: SHIFT and then PIVOT. Although the process is not so simple.
However, we have to remember that we are a COLLECTIVE. ALL of us are experiencing changes right now. Nothing is impossible. It may seem impossible – but it isn’t. Things may have to get postponed, moved, shifted, torn down, built back up.
But, does change seem to operate any other way? It knocks at your door – ready or not- and asks you to wake up. It pushes you to shift, even when you don’t want to. It will push us right down. It might invoke chaos, perhaps pain, suffering, among other things.
But, when we as a collective listen to each other, make a move to help one another and we shift and find common ground and meet each other with love and understanding – it makes the change a little easier.
When the fires of change are done burning, we will realize that underneath all of the ash is something really extraordinary: new growth.
In the meantime though, I see you and I hear you.
In what ways can we shift and look at life in a different light right now?
