This is one engagement session that I was nervous and excited about – let me explain why! Jeanette, Hector, and I already had to reschedule once because of weather (story of our lives when you live in Michigan). I just wanted everything to be perfect! I even drove over to Lansing a couple of days before with my mom to location scout in the area since I don’t live there!
When the day came, I parked near the Michigan Capitol and called Jeanette to let her know I was there. When she got out of her truck, I was stunned! She looked beautiful in her black floor length gown and Hector to accompany her in a tux! I literally thought to myself: “oh boy, I have to nail this session!” For me, every session is a challenge to be better and more creative than the one before it. Every session is a chance to grow!
So, after I got over that initial feeling, we headed up the Michigan Capitol Building steps to make some magic happen! And omgoodness was their session absolutely MAGICAL.
After the Capitol, we drove over to Frances Park, Lansing, Michigan to take some photos. Jeanette changed outfits to an adorable yellow dress. We set up for a picnic in the park aesthetic at the gardens. Hector and Jeanette popped some champagne, did some perfect modeling for me, and we captured them perfectly. I loved the cowboy hat and boots look accompanied with Jeanette’s adorable dress and heals. We ended the evening with Jeanette and Hector down by the side of the Grand River, Lansing, Michigan with one more glass of champagne.
I am so excited for their wedding day in August! Check out some of their engagement photos below:
